Empowering Youth & Building Peace
Welcome to CBDI, a non-profit, non-political organization committed to transforming the lives of borderland communities.
We believe that borders should not be barriers to opportunity, dignity, or peace. Through collaboration, capacity building, and people-centered approaches, we work to strengthen resilience, improve livelihoods, and promote sustainable peace across Somalia, Kenya, and beyond.

In recent years, CBDI has:
- Improved access to youth vocational skills for over two hundred in border communities.
- Supported 1,200 households with livelihood and resilience programs.
- Partnered with local governments to improve service delivery.
- Delivered emergency relief during conflict and displacement crises.
- Facilitated cross-border dialogues to strengthen cooperation and reduce tensions among border communities.
